After they arrived in the United States, the Parfomuk family worked fora short time on a farm in southern New Jersey, However, they soon found jobs in New York City and relocated to the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn where there was a large Polish immigrant community. The Parfomuk’s adapted very quickly to life in America and began to prosper again, as they had in Berezno. The photos above show Władysław during his early years in New York.
